It offers a wide frequency response range from 50 Hz to 18 kHz and a high maximum sound pressure level of 140 dB. The M80 is a superior alternative to the overly colored character of industry-standard microphones. It is suitable for live performances as well as recording, whether for vocals, instruments, or drums, and has an open, airy character with solid lows. The excellent sound transmission, particularly noticeable in vocal projection, is supported by the low mass of the capsule, delivering results typically associated with studio condenser microphones.
