With the De Stijl DS 36 nightstand lamp, Tecnolumen has created a wonderful restoration classic from the Dutch De Stijl Group in its collection. The exact name of the creator of the DS 36 table lamp is no longer known today. However, the manufacturer Tecnolumen mentioned on the official product page that its creation date is 1930. The connection between De Stijl and the German Bauhaus is unmistakable. The association was founded in 1917 by the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian and architect Robert van’t Hoff, promoting "only functional purism" in the fields of art and architecture. Cubism is another influencing factor. In 1918, Gerrit Rietveld joined the organization. The design of the DS 36 lamp is accordingly structured and essentially consists of a round base plate, a cylinder, and a white disc.
