More and more cable networks are switching from analog to digital or have already done so. This change affects not only television reception but also radio broadcasts. As part of the digital transition, the previously offered analog VHF radio signal is no longer transmitted in many cable networks. Instead, numerous radio stations are distributed digitally in excellent quality within these networks.

If you previously used FM signals from the cable network to listen to the radio, you can now receive digital radio broadcasts with the Cablestar 100. The Cablestar 100 is a radio adapter that reads digital radio broadcasts from the cable signal and transmits them to a sound system.

For connection to the system, the adapter offers an analog L/R audio output as well as an electrical digital audio output (S/PDIF) for high-quality digital transmission. You can save up to nine favorite stations in a favorites list, which you can then access with the remote control. The Cablestar 100 is equipped with a high-quality two-line OLED display that features high brightness and excellent contrast. This makes the display easy to read at any time and from almost any angle.

Notable is the feature with the RDS radio text display. Radio text provides additional information about the program title, the music piece, the artist, or other details, which is displayed on the screen.
