The DP-03-SD is the successor to the popular DP-02 and is even more practical, powerful, and compact than its predecessor, thanks to built-in microphones and effective mastering tools. It can record two tracks simultaneously in CD quality on affordable SD/SDHC memory cards and simplifies mixing with dedicated controls for level, pan, EQ, and reverb. The finished production can be transferred to a computer via a fast USB 2.0 connection or burned directly to CD using the built-in drive. One pair of inputs on the DP-03-SD can be assigned to any tracks. Phantom power for external condenser microphones is also available if needed. The inputs can be switched to line and instrument levels to record sources like drum machines, keyboards, guitars, and bass. A tuning function and metronome ensure studio-ready performance. Additional recording space can be created by bouncing up to eight tracks (ping-pong method) or mixing down to a special additional stereo track. Like its predecessor, the DP-02, the DP-03-SD features dedicated controls for mixing along with an easy-to-use menu for post-processing and other functions. New mastering tools such as EQ, multiband compressor, and a normalizer pave the way for professionally sounding masters. With so much power in a compact package, the DP-03 promises a lot of fun for little money—whether recording at home or on the go.
