The versatility of the ultra-telephoto zoom lens can be further enhanced with Tamron's separately available accessories. With the fully compatible 1.4x teleconverter, the focal length of the 100-400 mm lens extends by a factor of 1.4 to a maximum of 560 mm. Additionally, the ultra-telephoto zoom lens is compatible with Tamron's TAP-in console, allowing photographers to customize autofocus, focus limiter, and image stabilization to their individual needs. Furthermore, a specially designed Arca-Swiss compatible tripod collar for the 100-400 mm lens is available as optional accessory.

The combination of its unique core features and optional accessories makes this lens very appealing for photographers who capture a wide range of subjects. It is also suitable for low-light photography, whether for handheld shots or long exposures using a tripod.
