Tamiya Leopard 2 A6 Full Options

The Tamiya model is a fully functional 1:16 scale replica of the Leopard 2A6, as used by the Bundeswehr. The model performs all driving movements such as forward and reverse motion, as well as turning in place. To achieve the continuous steering of the original tank, a completely new gearbox has been developed, which operates with a 540 motor for propulsion and another for steering. Additionally, a new individual link track with separate track pads has been designed. The digital sound module produces all driving and engine noises, the sounds of the weapon and turret drive, as well as the firing sound of the cannon, which can be switched to the sound of the machine gun. The turret replicates the turning movements. The cannon is automatically raised when turning over the tank's rear (rear deflector function). When the cannon is fired, a flash of light is generated at the muzzle, there is a recoil effect, and by briefly activating the speed controller, the model "jumps" while the weapon remains in the loading position for a few seconds. To facilitate battery changes, it is housed in the turret and is therefore very accessible. Last but not least, all vehicle lighting has been accurately reproduced. With the complete redesign of all components, this model creates an unprecedented level of realism. New standards are being set in the field of functional model building. The Leopard 2A6 main battle tank, a top product of the German defense technology industry, has been introduced as the main weapon system of the army in eleven countries.
