Tamiya Fighter NXGEN (DT-04)

The DT-04 NXGEN is the logical further development of the TAMIYA Fighter Buggy models and the entry-level buggy for up-and-coming racers. Since 1996, TAMIYA has been setting the standard for the entry-level sector and the RC car scene with its Fighter Buggies. The DT-04 is based on the proven foundation of the DT-03, but has been revised in many areas. NXGEN stands for "Next-Generation", i.e. the generation of Fighter 2WD buggies. The look is based on the popular single-seater American racing buggies with 2WD rear-wheel drive. TAMIYA implements this with plastic parts already coloured white, which makes painting superfluous. The model can be built from the kit in two colour variants, and the driver figure with helmet makes the fighter a real eye-catcher. In technical terms, the NXGEN features 3-part steering, oil-pressure shock absorbers, axle carriers, hexagonal front and rear wheel mounts, steering levers and much more. The model can be built in two different wheelbases (265 mm or 280 mm). This is done simply by reversing the front lower wishbones and converting the steering. A short wheelbase makes the model more agile on the racetrack, while the long wheelbase enables a smoother ride. Required accessories: Remote control with receiver, steering servo, 7.2V NiMH battery pack, charger, TAMIYA X, XF or LP paint for the driver figure.
