Product details
The Buggy Champ 2009 from Tamiya is the anniversary model of the Rough Rider, it is offered as a kit as it was in 1979. The Rough Rider was Tamiya's first racing buggy at the time. The technical basis of the Champs corresponds to the original model, but there were some innovations for the Buggy Champ 2009, such as the wishbones, wheel carriers and a modern electronic speed controller. Other components have been reinforced to ensure that the 40 cm long model has the stability it needs today. The standard equipment includes a robust fibreglass chassis plate, a comprehensive set of ball bearings, a robust electric motor and oil pressure shock absorbers and the pendulum aerial. The design of the plastic body remains the same, which will certainly not only please nostalgic fans who remember the Buggy Champ as the Rough Rider.
