The MCM110ST2EU 10/100 multimode ST fiber optic Ethernet media converter (2 km) provides a cost-effective Ethernet fiber optic connection and transparently converts between 10Base-T or 100Base-Tx Ethernet signals and 100Base-Fx optical signals to establish an Ethernet network connection over a multimode fiber optic backbone. The ST media converter supports a maximum multimode fiber optic cable length of 2 km and offers a simple solution for connecting 10Base-T/100Base-Tx Ethernet networks to remote locations via ST-terminated single-mode fiber optics, while ensuring solid network performance and scalability. This compact, value-conscious Fast Ethernet media converter is easy to set up and install, featuring support for automatic switching between MDI and MDI-X on RJ45 UTP connections, as well as manual controls for UTP mode, speed, full and half duplex, and LFP (link fault pass-through) on/off. It comes with a 2-year StarTech.com warranty and free technical support for the entire lifespan of the device.
