The adapter supports high-resolution video (up to 2560 x 1600 at 60 Hz) while maintaining the outstanding graphics performance of a desktop graphics card, laptop, or MacBook with DisplayPort. The adapter performs an active DisplayPort to DVI conversion, making it suitable for video sources that output either Multi-Mode (DP++) or Single-Mode DisplayPort signals. This ensures that the adapter can also be used with graphics cards that do not output Multi-Mode DP++ signals, such as ATI Eyefinity cards.
