StarTech 3 Port Low Profile PCIe FireWire Adapter

PCI Express FireWire card adapter with 3 ports. The StarTech 3-Port PCI Express FireWire adapter card can be installed in a PCI Express slot by adding two IEEE1394b ports and one IEEE1394a port. It offers broad compatibility with a variety of FireWire devices, such as DV camcorders, external hard drives, and digital cameras. Two 9-pin FireWire 800 ports provide transfer rates of up to 800 Mbps, while a 6-pin FireWire 400 port allows for transfer rates of up to 400 Mbps. The adapter features a native PCI Express chipset integrated without a bridge chip. A mounting bracket for flat or low-profile installation is included. The internal power connector supplies power to high-performance FireWire devices. The adapter complies with IEEE 1394b and is backward compatible with the IEEE 1394a - 2000 and 1394 - 1995 standards.
