The 2.5-inch SATA/SAS to 3.5-inch SATA hard drive converter converts a 2.5-inch SATA or SAS hard drive (HDD) or a solid-state drive (SSD) into a 3.5-inch form factor SATA hard drive.

The converter is a versatile solution for installing 2.5-inch drives, allowing you to install a 2.5-inch SATA/SAS drive into a 3.5-inch bay, drive drawer caddy, or a 3.5-inch drive enclosure.

To optimize performance and harness the full speed potential of SATA III drives, this HDD backplane supports SATA III with transfer speeds of up to 6 Gbit/s when used with a compatible controller.

Thanks to its compatibility with drives up to 15 mm in height, virtually any 2.5-inch SATA or SAS hard drive can take on the appearance and functionality of a 3.5-inch hard drive. The drive converter features mounting holes along the side and bottom, allowing you to mount the drive in a compatible system if needed.

The drive converter is a trayless design for easy insertion and removal of drives and is made from durable yet lightweight plastic with ventilation openings to support airflow and cool the hard drives.
