Product details
Convert and extend a Gigabit RJ45 Ethernet connection over single-mode or multimode LC fiber optic.
This compact Gigabit fiber-to-Ethernet media converter allows for the upgrade of Cat6 or similar cabling to an EMI-free fiber optic connection. The TAA-compliant adapter features a convenient built-in USB cable for power, making it the perfect choice when no external power supply is available.
Easy installation.
The unmanaged fiber media converter has a plug-and-play design that requires no additional software or configuration changes. The metal housing has an IP20 protection rating and is an all-in-one construction with integrated LC fiber and RJ45 ports. The RJ45 side is equipped with a metal latch to ensure a reliable and secure fit, preventing accidental disconnection.
Network features.
The LC port is compatible with single-mode (10 km) and multimode (800 m) fiber optic cables up to 1 Gbps. A spring-loaded latch protects the port when not in use. The converter supports LFPT (Link Fault Pass-Through), allowing IT administrators to monitor and assess network connectivity at a glance based on LED behavior.
Compatibility.
This LAN fiber converter is ideal for upgrading computers, switches, routers, or other devices from copper to fiber. It is suitable for various applications, such as on-site deployment, industrial automation, telecommunications, broadcasting, data centers, and remote networking. Experience reliable connectivity with EMI immunity over long distances with this compact (82.39 x 20 x 17.5 mm) and energy-efficient (max. 2.5 W) dongle.
