A comprehensive redesign of the internal architecture of the new PS4 has reduced its dimensions by more than 30% compared to the previous model and its weight by 25% compared to the original and by 16% compared to the current PS4 model.

Additionally, the new PS4 is even more energy-efficient. Power consumption has been reduced by more than 34% and 28% compared to the original and current models.

The new PS4 retains the slanted case design of its predecessors. The shortened and rounded corners give the console a softer appearance. The glossy PlayStation Family logo in the center of the top surface completes the new stylish design.
