During the installation process Sony prompts you to use the Eco function. However, we advise against this because the display loses more than 50 per cent of its per cent of its peak luminance, the picture is clearly too dark. The Sony Bravia 5 K-65XR55 uses an LC display with mini LED backlight, which ensures brilliant colours and strong contrasts. If you want to recognise a difference to an OLED TV, you have to look very closely. The integrated media player, which played all video and audio tracks when tested, is also great.
