The typical soundbar works best when mounted directly under the TV on the wall. However, most TVs are actually placed on a stand or furniture. That’s exactly why Sonos developed the Playbase. With its ultra-slim design, it fits perfectly under any TV while still filling the entire room with spectacular home theater sound.
It comes with a power cable and an optical cable for your TV. The Sonos app guides you step by step through the setup, so you don’t even have to read the manual.

Voll auf App. Für WLAN und Multiroom-Betrieb. Steuerung nur per App. Klingt ausgewogen und gut, liefert sogar etwas Tiefbass und gefällt besser als ihre Schwester, die Playbar von Sonos. Kein Bluetooth. Erweiterungs-Set für Raumklang für 418 Euro, Bassmodul für 735 Euro.
Unsere vier Testkandidaten stellen allesamt spannende Neuerscheinungen mit cleveren Features dar. Die Bestnote und Kaufempfehlung verdient sich hierbei Nuberts brandneues nuPro AS-450. Auch wenn man hier keine Multiroom- oder Surround-Features findet, glänzt das Prunkstück der Schwaben mit feinstem Stereoklang, wie man ihn sonst nur aus großen Standlautsprechern zu hören bekommt...
800 Euro für diese flache Lautsprecher-Kiste? Das erscheint viel, relativiert sich aber bei näherer Betrachtung: Die Playbase ist bis ins Detail fein verarbeitet, und die Konkurrenz ist entweder klanglich schlechter oder bei der Musikwiedergabe weniger vielseitig. Oder alles zusammen. Wer unauffällig guten Klang fürs Fernsehen und zum Nebenbei-Musikhören sucht, findet kaum was Besseres.
Klagen auf hohem Niveau: Stünde die Sonos Playbase nicht neben dem Vorgänger Playbar, wäre bis auf das Pumpen wenig an ihr auszusetzen. Für 800 Euro bekommt man ein klangliches und optisches Update fürs Wohnzimmer und wird wahrscheinlich auch die alte Stereoanlage in Rente schicken...
