Both the base plate and the side plate feature Arca-compatible dovetails, allowing the camera to be mounted in either vertical or horizontal position. It is secured with a 1/4 screw at the bottom of the camera, and a twist-resistant pin prevents rotation. Each axis has a sensor centerline to align the camera on a tripod head. The side plate can be extended to the left when more space is needed for connecting or disconnecting the cable. Additionally, the L-plate has several 1/4 "-20 threaded holes on the side and bottom for attaching accessories such as Cold Shoe 1593 and Cable Clamp 1822. A flat-head screwdriver is used to secure the camera screw and is stored at the bottom of the L-bracket.
