The Focus 7 offers filmmakers all the advantages of a large on-camera display without making the camera setup cumbersome. This feature makes it easy to attach the Focus 7 to a camera and share it with a team member or client on set.
The Focus 7 is a versatile, single-channel monitor for the camera. It features a full-size HDMI input that is slightly recessed to keep the connection secure. The Focus 7 can support signals up to 4K30 (2160p30/29.97). Real-time 3D LUTs, monitor profiles, and screen overlays can be loaded via a full-size SD card slot. The audio output is also available through the monitor's stereo headphone jack. The monitor can be powered by two Sony L-series batteries.
Mounting an external 7-inch monitor can be challenging while trying to maintain a flat, easy-to-use camera setup. That's why the 7-inch SmallHD tilt arm has been designed to be more robust. The 7-inch tilt arm, available in the Focus 7 gimbal accessory box, provides a simple and convenient way to mount the Focus 7 in front of the camera or on the gimbal.
