Slamtec RPLIDAR A1M8 360° 12 m

The RPLidar A1M8 from SLAMTEC is a very compact 360° LiDAR with a measurement range of 0.15 to 12 m. Due to its USB/UART interface and low profile, this sensor is ideally suited for development platforms for exploring and developing SLAM, HRI, and navigation applications.

Included with the A1M8 LiDAR is a small USB-UART adapter board that converts the 8-bit protocol accordingly. Additionally, various ROS packages and Arduino libraries are available for easy integration and can be downloaded for free. If a suitable interface is not available, the data can be formatted and processed according to the following scheme.
