Product details
The Skateboarding Skeleton Artwork: In 1977, artist VCJ illustrated two black-and-white posters to promote Bones wheels. About a year later, Court embarked on a new project that would transform the Bones theme into the concept of a skateboarding skeleton. To make the image as realistic as possible, George purchased a life-sized skeleton from a medical supply store. Court named it Rosie. After several hours of assembly and positioning, Rosie was set in the pose of a skateboarding skeleton. Court got to work. His piece, completed in late 1978, served as a Bones sticker and T-shirt graphic and was the first illustration created under the new Powell Peralta brand. Originally published: 1979. Illustration by: Vernon Courtlandt Johnson. Features: 4.5" tall sticker with OG SBS art. Made in the USA.
