Curious: among the fast PCI Express 4.0 SSDs, two models achieved both test and price-performance victory thanks to identical test scores and the same sales price - the Western Digital Black SN850 and the Samsung 980 Pro. This is rare for Computer Bild.
Silicon Power US70
2000 GB, M.2 2280Product details
The US70 PCIe Gen 4x4 with 3D NAND flash memory and NVMe 1.3 support offers double the standard data transfer rate compared to the previous version 3.0, making it exactly what competitive gamers, overclockers, professional designers, editors, and high-end business users crave. With incredible read and write speeds of up to 5,000 MB/s and 4,400 MB/s, respectively, the US70 is nearly ten times faster than traditional SATA III SSDs. It features next-generation specifications that will remain competitive for the future while being backward compatible with PCIe 3.0. The US70 is available in storage capacities of 1 TB or 2 TB to fully utilize its unmatched performance. With 3D NAND flash memory stacks, the Total Bytes Written (TBW) has been significantly improved to easily meet the demanding requirements of storage applications. The total number of written bytes (TBW) for the 1 TB version is 1,800 TB and 3,600 TB for the 2 TB version. NVMe 1.3 support enables higher performance, lower latency, and reduced power consumption to maximize the performance and lifespan of this SSD. The US70 supports SLC caching and DRAM cache buffering to enhance performance during sequential and random read and write operations. It is equipped with LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) encoding and an ECC algorithm to ensure transmission accuracy and data access reliability. With end-to-end data protection and support for TRIM commands, the US70 efficiently manages reusable storage space and significantly reduces drive wear. And if that’s not enough, the proprietary S.M.A.R.T. software can enable real-time monitoring of the SSD at any time.
