Thanks to the enormous focal length range and the enhanced features of the SIGMA travel zoom, you are equipped for most subjects and will rarely see the need to change lenses. Therefore, it is the ideal companion on any journey, and you will also find great joy in landscape, sports, and macro photography with this new all-in-one lens.

With the new macro capability and a minimum focusing distance of just 35 cm across the entire focal length range, you can achieve a greater reproduction ratio of 1:2.9. The size of the subject and the framing can be easily adjusted by rotating the zoom ring. The scale achieved, depending on the set focal length, is conveniently displayed on the lens barrel.

For the first time, the new material "TSC" (Thermally Stable Composite), which has low contractility especially at different temperatures and retains its structure, has been used in the production of a lens housing. Compared to the commonly used polycarbonate, TSC has about 25% higher elasticity. Due to its low thermal shrinkage, the material has a high affinity for metal parts, which supports high-quality product manufacturing. TSC also allows for thinner components such as the focus or zoom ring to be produced.
