With the new macro capability and a minimum focusing distance of just 35 cm across the entire focal length range, you can achieve a greater reproduction ratio of 1:2.9. The scale achieved, depending on the selected focal length, is user-friendly and can be read on the lens barrel.
For the first time, the new material TSC (Thermally Stable Composite), which has low contractility, especially at different temperatures, and retains its structure, has been used in the production of a lens housing. Compared to the commonly used polycarbonate, TSC has about 25% higher elasticity. Due to its low thermal shrinkage, the material has a high affinity for metal parts, which supports high-quality product manufacturing. TSC also allows for thinner components, such as the focus or zoom ring, to be produced.

Source: Digitec GalaxusMit dem Sigma 3.5-6.3/18-250 mm DC OS HSM Macro präsentiert sich im Test ein gleichermaßen gutes wie auch preisgünstiges Reisezoom-Objektiv. Die Linse für EOS-Kameras mit APS-C-Sensor punktet mit hoher Auflösung und treffsicherem Autofokus. Auch die Ausstattung lässt insgesamt nur wenige Wünsche offen.
Das Sigma Objektiv ist sicherlich kein top Gerät aber ein echter Allrounder in fast allen Lebenslagen und Situationen. Die tadellose Verarbeitung und das kompakte Gehäuse sind für unterwegs wie geschaffen und als Zoomobjektiv ist sie allemal gut.
Mit 18 mm bis hin zu 240 mm besitzt das Sigma Objektiv eine recht große Brennweite. Dank der kompakten Bauweise ist das Gerät angenehm leicht. Der optische Bildstabilisator korrigiert leichte Verwackler im Telebreich , aber in diesem Modus verlieren die Bilder an Schärfe. Die Aufnahmen werden im Weitwinkel dank den zahlreichen Linienpaaren sehr scharf geschossen.
In den Anfangsbrennweiten muss man mit diesem Macro-Objektiv noch einige kleinere Schwächen in Kauf nehmen. Ansonsten zeigt sich das Modell mit einer durchweg guten Leistung.
Das Megazoom-Objektiv hat nochmal an Kompaktheit gegenüber dem Vorgänger gewonnen und ist auch in seiner Leistung nochmals leistungsstärker geworden. Die Bildqualität ist sehr gut, wobei auch die Verarbeitung des Objektivs sehr hochwertig ist.
