Product details
The SM86 is a robust condenser microphone for live use at club gigs and on professional stages. Not least the extended frequency range in the treble range reproduces vocals and speech particularly precisely.
FOR WHOM IS THE SM86 THE RIGHT MICROPHONE?
The SM86 is the right microphone for live singers who have a high demand for precise voice reproduction. It is also very popular for voice applications. Manufactured for professional stage use, it is an especially robust condenser microphone.
HOW DOES THE SM86 SOUND?
The SM86 delivers the typical Shure present sound. The frequency range, which is extended in the treble range, ensures an especially precise vocal reproduction. The integrated effective pop filter and the 3-point shock suspension reduce breathing and grip noise. The consistent cardioid polar pattern ensures feedback resistance on loud stages.
THE FINE SM58
Due to the condenser capsule, the SM86 is basically a variant of the SM58 with a finer resolution, especially in the trebles, and a more detailed sound overall. Like the SM58, the SM86 is also a cardioid and can be used in band mixes without much EQ at the mixing console. If the stage sound is not extremely loud and the finer capacitor sound is desired, the SM86 offers an alternative to the legendary SM58.
