Shimano's new action camera CM-1000 is compact and lightweight, waterproof up to 10 meters deep (according to IPX8 standard), and well protected against dust and mud (IPX5).
Weighing only 86 grams, it measures just seven centimeters in length, 4.5 centimeters in width, and 3 centimeters in height, including the battery and SD memory card.
The intuitive operation is managed through just two buttons, with two LEDs indicating the battery charge level and the selected recording mode. The included mounting bracket provides a secure hold and is designed for helmet attachment. With a minimum aperture value of F2.0, the optics promise optimal recordings even in low light, aided by the 16-megapixel CMOS sensor.
Video recordings are made in 1080p HD format, and in addition to a standard field of view of 135 degrees, there is also a 180-degree wide-angle mode available. To use and control the camera, a connection to a smartphone is required. This is easily done through the app provided by Shimano, which allows you to control the camera and make settings via Wi-Fi. Thanks to the integration of ANT and ANT+ data protocols, images can also be synchronized with performance data. Special Shimano software is necessary for the integration of performance data.
The package includes a manual, a USB cable, various devices for mounting the camera on a helmet, and a 16 GB Micro SD card.
