The AM5 Window Midi ATX Tower from Sharkoon is the absolute eye-catcher in every gaming garage with its lacquered case front made of shiny metallic car paint. What the robust housing
has under the hood can be admired at any time through the transparent acrylic side panel. The AM5 not only has a lot of pointing space for the engines installed in it, but also clever solutions to make the associated wiring disappear from view.
Simple installation thanks to well thought-out housing design
On board the AM5 is a sophisticated cable management system with numerous cable outlets. The complete cabling can thus be hidden behind the mainboard without impairing the airflow. For the power supply with a maximum length of 20.5 cm there is enough space in the tunnel in the bottom of the case. Here the power supply wiring can also be hidden discreetly from view. The tunnel itself has air inlets at the top and side, which ensure sufficient cooling of the hard disks. Through an opening in the mainboard tray, a new CPU cooler with a maximum height of 16.7 cm can be installed in the twinkling of an eye. Of course there is also enough space for graphics cards up to 40 cm in length. The front panel is not only visually outstanding, but also cleverly and wirelessly designed. It can be removed at any time without a cable being in the way. Removable dust filters in the front, on the underside of the housing and a magnetically fixed dust filter on the top of the housing protect the PC from contamination.
Sufficient space for hard disks
There is also plenty of space for hard drives: Up to two 3.5-inch hard drives or two 2.5-inch HDDs/SSDs can be installed in a hard drive cage bolted to the tunnel ceiling. Another 3.5-inch hard drive on the tunnel floor below. There is room for two more 2.5-inch HDDs/SSDs behind the mainboard tray, where they can be attached using two 2.5-inch drive slides and included knurled screws. If necessary, the hard disk cage can be moved up to the fans on the front of the case, where it can be easily mounted thanks to oblong holes and knurled screws.
Optimum component cooling
To ensure an optimum air flow, the front of the housing has numerous air inlets on the sides. A 140mm fan is pre-installed behind the front panel, but another 140mm fan can be installed. Alternatively, up to three 120 mm fans and a 280 mm or 360 mm radiator with an overall height of up to 5.5 cm including fan can be installed. A 120 mm LED fan is pre-installed on the rear of the housing for suitable illumination. Of course, this can be replaced by a 120 mm radiator. Up to three 120mm fans or two 140mm fans can be installed on the top of the case. Thanks to the practical oblong holes, all fans and radiators can be conveniently positioned and moved.
Fast access to peripherals
The audio connectors for microphone and headphones as well as two USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 interfaces each are located above the front of the case to ensure that nothing stands in the way of the chic front. The USB 3.0 ports are connected to the mainboard via a 19-pin mainboard connector.
