Shanling EC Zero T

The Shanling EC Zero T is a portable high-end CD player that defines a new class of audiophile mobile devices. It is equipped with a proprietary R2R DAC based on 24-bit technology, delivering an exceptionally authentic and musical sound reproduction. The integrated switch between oversampling and non-oversampling allows for personalized sound adjustments. This is complemented by a dual output stage featuring two JAN6418 tubes, which can be toggled between a powerful, dynamic transistor mode and a warm, flowing tube sound. This achieves a sonic flexibility that appeals to both analytical and emotionally-driven listeners. For CD playback, Shanling utilizes a specially developed active magnetic mechanism that stabilizes the disc and minimizes mechanical vibrations—essential for uninterrupted playback. The anti-shake system also ensures continuous playback, even during movement. The headphone outputs in 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced formats deliver up to 1,220 mW of power, making them sufficient for high-impedance high-end headphones. Additionally, it features line-out connections, coaxial and optical digital outputs, as well as a USB DAC function supporting PCM up to 768 kHz and DSD512. Via Bluetooth 5.3 with aptX Adaptive, wireless output devices can also be operated at the highest quality level. A CNC-machined aluminum housing with a hardened glass cover gives the device a premium look that combines robustness and aesthetics. The integrated 5500 mAh battery ensures standalone playback of up to eight hours, while the device can be connected via USB-C to switch to a more powerful external operating mode. Weighing only 669 g and with its compact format, the EC Zero T provides perfect sound on the go.
