Ideal for all soft start and soft stop applications where load control at varying power levels is required, e.g., for heating elements, lamp brightness, or motor speed (e.g., in a fan). The custom model MCS/PC SSR offers the same ramp function as the standard series MCS models, but the relay has an additional phase control function. The customer can specify how much power should be applied to the load and then gradually increase this setting. If the power level is adjusted during operation, the relay slowly transitions to the new setting. A portion of each AC sine wave can be used to control the power output to an electrical consumer, with the amount of transmitted power determined by the input value.
