Clear, neutral and musical sound that really inspires. Personally, I could live with the HD 550, with a softer padded headband it would even be excellent. Great thing, worth every cent.
Sonova has reissued the Sennheiser HD 550 open headphones with cable connection. The lightweight design is comfortable to wear thanks to the soft, circumaural cushions. The frequency response of the HD 550 (red) is very similar to that of the neutral reference model HD 600 (yellow)...
The HD 550 gave a fantastic performance, especially with audiophile music content. For me, it is a clear recommendation for fans of neutrality who like to listen analytically and often. Those who like more punch, on the other hand, should go for the HD 505.
