It has a medium range of about 400 meters and a battery life of approximately 8 hours, depending on usage. The SMH5 is charged via a USB charging cable (Micro-USB), which can also be used to connect to a PC or Mac. When connected to a computer, you can make settings on the device and perform software updates. In addition to being used as an intercom, navigation devices, smartphones, or Bluetooth-enabled MP3 players can also be paired with the SMH5. This allows the user to receive navigation instructions or their favorite music directly in the helmet. One does not exclude the other. You can pair up to 3 communication partners simultaneously (a total of 4, no conference call), a GPS navigation device, and an MP3 player or smartphone. The built-in priority management then automatically takes over the task of determining which audio source is currently optimal or important.
