Product details
Until now, it was solely the RNR1, thanks to its close collaboration with Rupert Neve, that was able to cover a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. This microphone has been referred to by critical observers as the best ribbon microphone in the world. The immense frequency response for a ribbon microphone is attributed to the state-of-the-art transformers and electronic circuitry designed by Rupert Neve, which prevent the typical high-frequency roll-off.
The Voodoo microphones achieve a comprehensive frequency response through a mechanical method (patent pending), developed by Siwei Zou, the founder of sE. This extraordinary technical achievement allows the traditional ribbon capsule to deliver a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, far exceeding what any other ribbon microphone can transmit.
The sound is revolutionary – while the RNR1 is simply a unique and amazing microphone in its class, the Voodoo series brings the traditional ribbon sound to project and professional studios with an extended frequency range compared to typical condenser microphones. The result is a highly resolved and wonderfully open-sounding recording of acoustic instruments and guitar cabinets.
The unique performance combined with the distinctive appearance makes the VR1 and VR2 microphones modern classics.
