Product details
The RN17 is the latest member of the sE-Rupert Neve series of microphones, following the active ribbon microphone RNR1. It features a newly designed, hand-wound transformer by Rupert Neve, making it the world's first small diaphragm microphone to incorporate a large-format, high-performance transformer. Combined with sE's newly developed, the world's smallest, gold-sputtered 17mm Mylar capsule, the RN17 delivers outstanding results. The resolution and detail of the capsule are incredible, extracting all the headroom from Rupert Neve's transformer. The combination of these two components provides exceptional clarity with a beautifully silky tone.
