Scythe Kotetsu Mark II

The compact Kotetsu Mark II prioritizes maximum compatibility, featuring a low height of 154 mm and an offset heatsink that does not cover any RAM slots while providing increased clearance for the first PCI slot. A fan from the excellent Kaze Flex 120 mm PWM series, four nickel-plated heat pipes, and a decorative top plate complete the convincing overall concept. To ensure high operational quietness and an average lifespan of 120,000 hours, the Kotetsu Mark II employs a PWM fan from the award-winning Kaze Flex series. The closed liquid bearing minimizes friction and wear thanks to a special oil film. Rubberized contact surfaces provide a decoupling effect and prevent the transmission of vibrations to the heatsink.

To ensure maximum compatibility, the heatsink of the Kotetsu Mark II is not centered directly over the base plate but is slightly offset to the rear and side. This asymmetrical design allows for unrestricted use of all memory slots and provides ample space for large GPU coolers. With its compact height of just 154 mm, the Kotetsu Mark II fits easily into all standard PC cases. The Kotetsu Mark II utilizes a revised version of the safe and user-friendly Hyper Precision Mounting System. A pre-assembled mounting bar significantly simplifies installation, while spring-loaded screws ensure balanced contact pressure. Combined with the redesigned backplate and rubber/plastic spacers, the system offers an easy and convenient installation process as well as compatibility with all current sockets, including AMD's AM4 and Intel's LGA 2066 platforms.
