The Scotch Packaging Tape 309 is a quiet, all-purpose packaging tape that is well-suited for applications with low weight demands. This is particularly true for the food and beverage industry. The polypropylene backing is easy to handle, abrasion-resistant, and moisture- and scuff-resistant. The consistent and reliable backing material adapts well to edges and rough surfaces to achieve a good seal.

The Scotch Packaging Tape 309 is a 50-micron thick all-purpose tape made of polypropylene with an acrylic adhesive, demonstrating reliability in cost-sensitive applications with low weight demands. It is specifically designed to avoid the typical unwinding noise, withstand cold temperatures, be easy to apply, and be smoothly dispensed by hand with a handheld dispenser or the 3M-Matic carton sealing machine.

Recommended applications include general commerce, food and beverages, cold temperature applications, cartons exposed to UV light, and aging-sensitive packaging. The Packaging Tape 309 features an acrylic adhesive that bonds instantly and uniformly to challenging surfaces like cardboard with a high percentage of recycled material. The tape adheres well to edges and is tear-resistant.
