The EBN U2 inrush current limiter (compact flush-mounted version) is used when high inrush current peaks cause relay contacts to weld together. Electronic ballasts, fluorescent lamps, energy-saving lamps, etc., as well as the use of compensation capacitors, can cause inrush current peaks exceeding 100 A. When the EBN U2 is connected downstream of the vulnerable contacts, current peaks are reduced to a non-critical level.
