The TX-XLR9 is built robustly and features a locking XLR connector to securely hold the attached microphone. It wirelessly synchronizes with the RX9 receiver using easy-to-use infrared sensors. The well-readable, backlit LCD display allows for quick adjustments of the intuitive menus in both bright and dark environments. The TX-XLR9 can be muted at the push of a button, and a blinking red LED serves as a reminder that it is muted. The buttons can be "locked" during use to prevent accidental muting or powering off. Additionally, the TX-XLR9 transmitter offers a selectable RF output power. With the "Low" setting, you can extend battery life in situations where the subject is close to the receiver. Medium and High settings are useful when the subject is further away or when using the TX-XLR9 in an environment with more potential interference.
