The fast Samyang 135mm T2.2 XEEN cinema lens is a full-frame lens with internal focus, making it particularly well-suited for close-ups or portraits due to its narrow field of view. Like all XEEN cinema prime lenses, the XEEN 135mm T2.2 offers 4K resolution and shares the same design elements with other lenses in this series. This includes identical overall lengths, housing diameters, and fixed gear distances for the aperture and focus rings across all models. This consistency allows for quick and easy lens changes, whether on a rig or on a tripod, even when a follow-focus system is installed.

As with typical cinema lenses, this XEEN lens features a clickless and continuously adjustable aperture with side-readable f-stop values and a distance scale, as well as gear rings for focusing with follow focus.

The compact telephoto lens delivers excellent performance in low light and precise manual control of focus and depth of field. It produces high-quality footage with clear contrasts and impressive colors. With a full-frame image circle and high light intensity, XEEN lenses meet the demands of professional users.

The high-quality mechanics and craftsmanship are clearly evident in the design. The 135mm T2.2 XEEN can also be used with cameras that have Super 35mm, APS-C, and APS-H sensors. The sharpness of this lens is remarkable even at full aperture and can be finely adjusted over the 200° long focus.

The lens construction consists of 11 glass elements in 7 groups, housed in a robust aluminum barrel. The necessary adjustments on the follow-focus or aperture ring are continuously variable and compatible with all follow-focus systems featuring a 0.8 mm gear. The 11 aperture blades of the 135 mm cinema lens create an almost circular bokeh.
