The Samyang MF 14mm F2.8 is a manual high-performance lens, optimized and designed for the Canon camera series with RF mount. The lens is intended for cameras with a 35mm full-frame sensor for both photo and video recording. It has been developed specifically for Canon's R and RP series mirrorless cameras with high pixel counts.
With the compact 14mm Samyang wide-angle lens, unique shots can be captured. The wide-angle lens captures significantly more of the scene at the same subject distance compared to a standard lens. The Samyang lens is suitable for the entire spectrum of wide-angle photography, particularly for landscape photography and indoor shots. The pronounced depth effect of wide-angle images allows for creative photography.
The lens features a short focal length. With a minimum focusing distance of just 28 cm, this manually focusable wide-angle lens is especially suitable for sharp and high-contrast images from close distances. Thanks to its excellent light intensity of f/2.8, well-exposed shots can be achieved even in low-light conditions without long exposure times. The field of view is 116° for full-frame sensors and 90° for APS-C sensors.

Measured against Sony mirrorless, 43 MP, KB: In the case of a super-wide-angle lens, we don't expect perfect imaging all the way to the edges at open aperture. But in the centre of the image, the performance must fit. But this is exactly what the Samyang does not achieve: the resolution and especially the contrast are clearly too low in the centre at aperture 2.8...
