Product details
The Samyang 35mm F1.4 wide-angle lens impresses with its brightness and image quality. As is typical for Samyang, focus and aperture are manually adjusted, allowing you to set the sweet spot exactly where you want it. The brightness of f/1.4 is ideal for low-light photography. Not least, the potential for subject isolation is enormous. The subject is surrounded by a creamy bokeh at wide open aperture.
A 35mm prime lens is often referred to as a reportage lens because it allows the photographer to dive deeper into a scene. This enables the photographer to convey to the viewer the feeling of being right there on location. However, the 63° field of view (40° on APS-C) is also perfect for landscape photography.
The 12 lenses are arranged in 10 groups and housed in a robust casing. The aspherically ground lens and the two high-refractive glasses within the lens minimize optical aberrations, even at wide open aperture. The metal mount enhances the premium feel of this light giant. Thanks to the internal focusing, the compact dimensions of the lens remain unchanged, leaving no doubt that this is a meticulously produced product that does not need to hide.
