Especially compact and lightweight
The ultra-compact and lightweight design makes this lens the perfect travel companion. Long-distance, close-up, and detail shots are easily achievable thanks to the practical minimum focusing distance of 90 cm. This is made possible by its construction as a mirror lens. The lens not only has a higher light intensity (f/6.3) than comparable lens types but is also very handy: its length of approximately 74 mm and weight of 318 g mean it’s always ready to go. This short form factor is achieved through an optical trick: the light path, which is usually 30 cm long, is simply "folded" using two highly precisely ground mirror rings, just like in a reflecting telescope.

Exceptional image quality
Thanks to the multi-coating, ghosting is significantly reduced. Sharpness and contrast are excellent from the center to the edges. The continuous focusing allows for precise adjustments in all shooting situations. The highlights in the bokeh are uniquely donut-shaped, making your images even more attractive.

Filter threads
The 300mm F6.3 lens features two filter threads. One at the front with a diameter of 58 mm and one at the back with a diameter of 25.5 mm.

Using an APS-C lens on a full-frame camera
Lenses designed for APS-C sensor cameras can also be used on full-frame sensor cameras, primarily with the use of an adapter. Due to the significantly smaller image circle of APS-C lenses, the sensor area captures everything outside the image circle as black. Therefore, the usable area of the image taken with a full-frame camera corresponds to that of an APS-C sensor camera and is correspondingly smaller. The images will need to be cropped in post-processing.
