Creative Image Design
The Samyang 24mm wide-angle lens with tilt and shift functionality offers a variety of creative design possibilities. Whether it's optical illusions, as seen in miniature optics, or extraordinary image formats with selective blur, the tilt-shift lens achieves all this in its usual high-quality manner. The wide-angle lens features a fixed focal length of 24mm and a high aperture of f/3.5. A total of 16 coated lenses (including two aspherical and two ED lenses) ensure good image quality. Aperture setting and focusing are done manually.
Shift, Tilt, and Focus
The independently rotating tilt and shift mechanism is the highlight of the lens. The housing can be shifted by +/- 12 mm and tilted by +/- 8.5°. The shift function displaces the lens system relative to the image plane, allowing you to correct for converging lines, which is particularly relevant in architectural photography. The tilt function allows for gradual tilting of the lens system, shifting the depth of field while maintaining a shorter exposure time. With this wide range of optical adjustments, countless creative applications arise, including in product and landscape photography.
Logical Control Buttons
With the "black" button, you adjust the optics - either tilt or shift. The "gray" buttons lock your selected setting to prevent accidental adjustments. The entire lens can be switched from landscape to portrait orientation using a small, flat gray release button near the bayonet mount. This is especially needed when shifting: left-right or traditionally: top-bottom. The gray release button next to the gray shift lock button allows the optics to rotate above: the tilt function can be selected again between left-right or top-bottom.
