Samyang 14mm T3.1 MK2 Sony E-Mount
Sony E, full sizeProduct details
Samyang introduces a VDSLR MK2 series that features weather sealing, dual-labelled focal lengths, slim design and 9 aperture blades. This ground-breaking cine lens series inherits Samyang's incredible video quality and will help independent filmmakers and low-budget project directors expand their creative horizons.
The compact size of Samyang's VDSLR lenses makes them perfect for handheld and gimbal shooting. The VDSLR 50mm T1.5 MK2 is only 7.47cm long and weighs just 525.8g, but is fully equipped with disengaged aperture and focus gears. The large depth of field range of over 130° allows cameramen to focus precisely and accurately on their subjects, making video recordings look more professional than with autofocus photo lenses.
In contrast to their compact size, the VDSLR MK2 lenses cover full-frame sensors (36x24 mm) and are ready for high-quality video production. This series inherits the outstanding image quality of its predecessor: all 5 lenses feature aspherical lens elements that reduce spherical and optical aberration for clear and vivid images. The 50 mm model also has a hybrid aspherical lens element to maintain its compact size without compromising performance.
For independent filmmakers, a versatile lens saves time and budget. The Samyang VDSLR MK2 series features a fast T1.5 aperture on all 5 models, supporting filmmakers and allowing them to focus more on the scene and creativity without worrying about image quality, even in low light situations. In addition, the shallow depth of field blurs the background and emphasises the subject, adding depth to the story.
