tremendous battery life
Dual SIM plus memory expansion possible
Photos hardly usable at twilight
The Galaxy A6+ can claim a record-breaking battery life, and it also has a real dual SIM slot. On the downside, it has poor photo performance and an outdated USB port.
The larger version of the Galaxy A6 also shows some weaknesses compared to the 2017 A-Class. Despite the sharper, brighter and larger display and the better reception, Samsung does not manage to outdo its predecessor. If you need a new smartphone, you should either add 50 euros for the clearly superior A8 or simply go for the cheaper A5 (2017).

The Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus is bigger and a bit more bulky than the Galaxy A6, but the dual camera and display as well as the snappier hardware are good arguments to pay the higher recommended retail price of 369 euros. Given the prices for the Galaxy S9 Plus, this seems cheap, but there is strong competition in this price range. The Nokia 7 Plus or the Honor 10 are just two possible alternatives.

The Galaxy A6 Plus performs quite well in the test. At the time of the test, it cost just over 300 euros and, compared to the standard Galaxy A6, which is hardly any cheaper, it impresses with better performance, longer battery life and a higher-resolution display. Only in terms of features does it - like its smaller brother - not win any trophies.
