Samsung 860 Evo
1000 GB, M.2 2280Product details
The successor to the globally successful 850 EVO series is the Samsung SSD 860 EVO. This new drive has been specifically designed for notebooks and PCs, based on the latest V-NAND memory technology and a controller optimized for processing special algorithms. As a result, the new SSD model offers very high performance and is available in various capacities and form factors. The 860 EVO series also provides a more consistent performance profile under heavy workloads and multitasking scenarios compared to its predecessors. The Samsung SSD 860 EVO writes at speeds of up to 520 MB/s thanks to TurboWrite technology and reads data at up to 550 MB/s. Compared to the previous models in this series, the capacity of the TurboWrite buffer in the top models has been increased from 12 GB to 78 GB, allowing for high-performance write operations of very large files. Edit and store extensive 4K UHD videos or 3D data in current applications without worrying about the drive's durability. This is made possible by Samsung's latest V-NAND memory technology. Enjoy fast, low-latency data communication between your SSD and your system. The current ECC algorithms of the brand-new MJX controller ensure high performance even under rapidly changing workloads, and the settings in the Queued Trim area provide great Linux compatibility. The SSD 860 EVO thus offers very high compatibility with various computer systems. No matter what drive format your system requires, one of the variants of the SSD 860 EVO will surely fit your system: Available are 2.5” models for PCs and notebooks, SATA-based M.2 modules according to the M.2 2280 standard, as well as mSATA variants for ultrabooks.
