Painkiller is a modern reinterpretation of the classic franchise, featuring online co-op for up to three players and offline gameplay. Battle through intricately designed Gothic levels against hordes of demons and titanic horrors. As a prisoner of purgatory, you must atone for your sins. However, the voice of the Creator grants you a chance at redemption. As one of the angels, you must stop the fallen angel Azazel, who intends to unleash his demon armies upon the Earth. You will face hordes of enemies, demons with unique powers, and the three monstrous children of Azazel: the Nephilim. Can you fight your way to redemption?

Purgatory is your arena - through jumps, sprints, and grappling, you traverse vast biomes and battle with a variety of new and classic Painkiller weapons against your foes. Grotesque horrors await you - challenge a multitude of enemies, from hordes of small demons to titanic terrors. Unleash the pain - use tarot cards to enhance your abilities, and combine them with other players to annihilate your enemies. Choose your character wisely - play as one of four unique characters - Ink, Void, Sol, and Roch - and utilize their respective skills to boost energy, health, strength, and damage.
