The Nano Shield is Rycote's lightest, smallest, and most advanced windshield kit to date. It has been designed to provide excellent wind protection and acoustic transparency for capturing clean audio data. The entire kit includes many patented designs, including improved lyre shock mount holders that are better suited for lighter microphones, and a mounting pole/pan arm that requires no tools for adjustments or swapping out lyre mounts. The Nano Shield kits are extremely versatile and feature interchangeable basket halves, allowing you to change the size of the airships by swapping out the baskets without needing to purchase a completely new kit. Each set comes ready to use and includes: two windshield basket halves with magnetic closures and gray windbags, Windjammer® fur, a tool-free microphone mounting pole, a pair of Nano Shield Lyre® mounts, an additional pair of Nano Shield Lyre® mounts, a PCS pan arm with friction brake, an interchangeable 3/8-inch threaded mount for the pan arm, an ergonomic PCS handle, a flat XLR cable with integrated RF filter and switchable 80 Hz low cut, a 360° adjustable and reversible XLR holder, an additional pair of black wind socks, and a protective cover.
