The lavalier foam is a discreet, attachable foam windscreen that protects personal microphones from light wind and popping noises. Lavalier foam windscreens are made from durable, high-quality acoustic foam with open cells and dampen pop and wind noises by up to 20 dB, without causing simultaneous losses at high frequencies. This high-quality foam has been exclusively developed for Rycote and also offers excellent resistance to the harmful effects of moisture and UV light. The new foams with neoprene coating are designed to repel water in light rain.
