To construct a fully illuminated pushbutton switch or display element, you need a pushbutton switch or display, diffuser, and filament lamp or LED. Suitable spreading discs are available. The SD16 series includes indicators and illuminated pushbutton switches with a standard 16 mm cut-out for panels between 0.5 and 5 mm thick. The SD16 Series single pole pushbutton switches are equipped with a contact or light block; use a T1 3/4 low-groove filament lamp or LED for illumination and select a suitable diffusing lens. Suitable diffusers for use with SD16 Series pushbutton switches and indicator lamps are available in various colors (blue, green, orange, red, and white) and shapes (square and rectangular). Each lens is flat and made of polycarbonate, which can be engraved.
