The flux classification according to J-STD 004 is ROL0 – leaving a very reliable solder residue. This lead-free solder wire from RS is a rosin-based SAC305 solder wire. SAC305 is a specially formulated lead-free alloy containing 96.5% tin, 3% silver, and 0.5% copper. SAC305 complies with the JEIDA recommendation for lead-free solder according to J-STD 006. The flux of the solder wire is specifically formulated for wetting common circuit boards and components. The residue produced during soldering is completely clear and can be safely left on the circuit board. Universal solder wire that can be used for a variety of soldering tasks. Suitable for soldering all products that must be RoHS compliant. Melting point between 217 and 219 °C. Flux content 3.3%. Typical solder tip temperature for use with this solder wire is 360–400 °C.
