Only for use with GP alkaline battery GN24A, LR03, size AAA. The RS Pro-ATEX/IECEx voltmeter in pin form is designed for 230 V ac. The Voltstick® is a meter for safely testing the presence of AC voltage without disconnecting cables, outlets, fuses, overload switches, junction boxes, etc. No current flow is required for proper operation. Hold the plastic tip at any connection point or move it along an insulated cable. When AC voltage is detected, a red indicator in the plastic tip will illuminate as it detects the live wire through the insulation. Note: If a 3-phase machine is connected and blows a fuse, the voltage will be reversed back to the blown fuse and an erroneous indication could result. Make sure all machines are disconnected before testing. The Voltstick® cannot be used on receptacles with shielded cable.
